How often should I get my Mitsubishi serviced?

It’s a great idea to get your vehicle serviced regularly to make sure it’s performing its best and so your investment is looked after. Your Mitsubishi should be serviced every 12 months or 15,000 kmK26. But sometimes, depending on the driving conditions, more frequent servicing may be required. It’s best to check your Service and Warranty Booklet to find out when and how often servicing is needed.

What does Mitsubishi Genuine Servicing cost?

Mitsubishi Genuine Servicing is competitively priced. Mitsubishi offers one of Australia’s best service intervals of 12 months or 15,000 km⋄7 which means you pay for fewer services over the time you own your car.⋄7 What’s more, is that your vehicle may also be covered by the Mitsubishi Capped Price Servicing program which means you’ll enjoy scheduled regular servicing costs capped for up to 10 years⋄7.

More frequent servicing is required on some specialist vehicles and those operated under specific operating conditions such as frequent short trips, driving in dusty, sandy or salty conditions and prolonged idling or stop start driving.

Will my warranty be affected if I don’t use Mitsubishi to service my car?

Mitsubishi highly recommends that scheduled services are performed by your Mitsubishi dealer as a reliable and effective way of servicing your car. However, services can be carried out by another qualified service provider if it’s performed to the requirements you’ll find in your Service and Warranty Booklet. That way, your standard Mitsubishi 5 year/100,000 km Warranty will not be affected. Proprietary oils, coolant and fluids (where specified) are also a requirement.

It’s important to note that if your vehicle is eligible for Mitsubishi’s 10 year/200,000 km Extended Warranty, it is a condition that you must take your vehicle to an authorised Mitsubishi dealer for ALL scheduled services from the 12 months/15,000 km service onward.

What happens if non Mitsubishi approved parts are fitted to my vehicle during a service?

Mitsubishi strongly recommends that only genuine Mitsubishi parts are fitted to your vehicle to keep it running as smoothly as possible. If a problem or damage occurs as a result of using non genuine parts or non approved fluids or lubricants, your warranty is unlikely to cover the component affected or related components. So, it’s best to stick with our recommendations.

What happens if I miss or delay a regular Mitsubishi vehicle service?

If you miss or delay your service, there’s an increased risk of premature deterioration of some engine components from reduced lubrication and protection performance.

Also, if your vehicle has Capped Price Servicing, you may not get the total number of services under this program. Your Roadside Assist including Club Membership will not be renewed if you miss any of the first three services.

It is a condition of the Extended Warranty (up to 10 years or 200,000 km) that all regular services be completed at an authorised Mitsubishi dealer from new. Missing a regular service, or servicing outside of the Mitsubishi Dealer network will mean that the vehicle isn’t eligible for the Extended Warranty (if applicable).
